Book Groups
Joining a Book Group is a fun way to meet new friends and read some great books. Contact Eileen Weber at pastpres@welcomeclub.org to join a book group or to be placed in an existing group that may have an opening.
Bunco
Bunco is a fun dice game that is simple to play and a great way to catch up with friends from the club. So ladies if you want a night off with the girls to play a game, eat some yummy treats and possibly win a little money – join a Bunco Group or become a sub.
Community Service
Operation Hope
Operation Hope is a shelter for men, women and children, located in downtown Fairfield. The Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton assists Operation Hope by donating a dinner each month. This meal is organized by a monthly Coordinator and prepared by 3 Cooks.
We are currently looking for volunteers to coordinate meals in order to help those living at the Operation Hope Shelter in downtown Fairfield. Please let us know if you are interested. Contact Berkeley Murray at communityservice@welcomeclub.org if you are available to help or would like more information.
Grasmere Eldercare Visits
What a wonderful time of the year to get involved in community service!! Every other month, the Welcome Club will be visiting Grasmere Eldercare Center, an Adult Day Center in Fairfield. Visits include family-friendly activities such as songs, crafts, or games with the seniors. This will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce your family to the value of community service in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
Open Board and Activity Leader Positions
We are actively recruiting new Officials and Activity Coordinators for the 2009/2010 season. If you'd like to get involved with the planning and goings on of The Welcome Club, now is the time to speak up.
We invite those of you who have an interest to volunteer for an open Board or Activity Coordinator position.
