Policy on Membership in Welcome Club-sponsored Groups

The Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton offers its members the opportunity to participate in groups that meet on a regular basis and which, by their nature, may need to be restricted to a certain number of participants. Examples of such groups include children´s playgroups, book groups, or bunco groups.

It is the policy of the Welcome Club that such groups formed and continuing under the club´s auspices are open to participation by club members who have paid their dues for the current season. Nonmembers who are interested in participating in any of these Welcome Club groups as a regular member of that group are required to join the Welcome Club.

With respect to playgroups, members of any playgroup may decide collectively to limit the number of participants in their group (for reasons other than to exclude certain other members); however, playgroups will be requested to have a minimum of eight Welcome Club member children before being allowed to close themselves to new participants.
