Bunco Open House
Tuesday, May 13th at 7:30PM
If you've been curious about Bunco and want to learn more - this is your chance. Also, members from other groups are welcome to play and meet other Bunco players! We will mingle, go over the rules of a game and play a game. Please bring $5 to play. Light appetizers, desserts and beverages will be provided. Please RSVP by May 10th to event host and Bunco Coordinator, Stephanie Cress.

Enjoy a price-fixed 3 course dinner including the following choices:
- Flying Dish Signature Steak 10oz seared all natural strip steak with mushroom ragout and gorgonzola butter served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables or...
- Chicken Francaise with lemon beurre blanc over rice pilaf and green beans or...

Detour & Frolic and Casual Gourmet Teams Gourmet BBQ
Saturday, May 17th at 7:00PM
Are you dying to fire up the grill and start the summer season, but could use some new recipes? Join Casual Gourmet and Detour & Frolic for an evening BBQ. Guests will be assigned BBQ themed recipe(s) to prepare and bring to the BBQ for sharing. An assortment of complimentary beverages will be provided, so just bring your prepared dish and your smiles. The BBQ starts 7:00pm at the home of Richard and Jessica Campbell in Fairfield. Please RSVP by May 10th, 2008 to the hosts.

Children's Events & Playgroup Connection Teams May Family Outing
Easton Community Center, 364 Sport Hill Road, Easton, CT 06612
Sunday, May 18th from 4:00-6:00PM
We’re calling on all Moms, Dads and kids of all ages to join us for an exciting event at the Easton Community Center, where they will provide us with indoor fun like their moon bounce, slide, and entire gym area for free play (snacks and refreshments are included). For those with teens or adventurous types in the family, their teen center and game room (equipped with air hockey and ping pong tables) will be open as well as their 700 square foot indoor rock climbing wall (comfortable or athletic attire recommended)! Staff will be on hand to assist with climbs and activities. Come and meet some of your neighbors, visit with old friends or make some new ones. Non-members are welcome to join you, so feel free to invite other Fairfield or Easton residents. Our Playgroup Connection coordinators will be there to assist with finding your little ones a playgroup before the summer season begins. The ECC pre-school room will be open for tours, and they have a few spots open for those of you still looking. We hope to see you there! Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton Clambake
Penfield Pavilion I
Saturday, June 28th from 8:00PM until Midnight
Join us for The Annual Welcome Club of Fairfield/Easton Ocean Breeze Clambake at Penfield Beach!
Great food, great music, great company! Mingle over dinner and dancing with a fun Prize Drawing!
Catch up with old friends and meet new ones too as we nibble on an array of appetizers and dine on scrumptious delights catered by The Caterers, LLC. Save room for dessert catered by The Flying Dish of Fairfield! Remember, this is a BYOB event, so pack a cooler!
We’ll dance the night away in the salt-filled air to the music of DJ Bobby Van Tine. There will also be a Great Prize Drawing benefitting The Connecticut Food Bank. You don’t want to miss it!
This event is open to all Welcome Club members and their guests. Space is limited! Send in your tear sheet (available in May Newsletter, or for download and printing when members are logged in to website) and check today! Cancellations with refund up to June 20th. Bring your friends! The cost for this event is $35 per member / $45 per guest. THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT! Please RSVP no later than June 20th.

Committee Updates
Helping Hands
This group of helpers provides meals to families in the Welcome Club in need of an extra hand during times of stress due to a birth, death, or illness in the family. If you know of a club member who needs a helping hand, please contact either Jennifer Richard or Jennifer Gibson who will help to coordinate meals and find member volunteers to assist in the efforts.
Open Board and Activity Leader Positions
The Welcome Club has been an integral part of the Fairfield and Easton communities for over 50 years and it has always been a volunteer organization. No one has the time to contribute, but each year many people make the time to keep this club the best in Fairfield County. Our board is informal, welcoming and a team.
We invite those of you who have an interest, to volunteer for an open Board or Activity Leader Position. Look for positions and their details on our Website soon!
